Project Description
Throughout history the Sámi people and the Sámi way of living have been challenged by different circumstances in the Nordic countries such as the creation of borders, restricting laws, tax systems, conflicts about resources etc.
Some Sámi practices have increased in quantity of practitioners, but other meahcit are still practiced in a bigger scale. Engaging in the landscape through different activities like berry picking, fishing, hunting etc. is a big part of the life in the North and one way to live with culture/nature.
